Cancellation and refund policy
Plans change. This page tells you exactly what happens when they do, so that nobody has to guess.
Which policy applies depends on where you booked.
If you booked on Airbnb
The cancellation policy shown on that listing is the one that applies, and it is the one you agreed to when Airbnb took the booking. Cancel through Airbnb, not through us, because the refund is calculated and paid by Airbnb. If you cancel with us instead, we cannot process the refund and time may be lost.
We will always help you talk to Airbnb, and where we have discretion we use it in the guest's favour, but we cannot override Airbnb's decision.
If you booked directly with us
A direct booking is a request until the payment link is paid, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund before that point. If you decide not to go ahead, simply do not pay the link, or tell us and we will close the request.
Once the booking is confirmed by payment, the following applies.
we are confirming this detail (the cancellation windows and refund percentages set out in the next paragraph are a proposed standard. Confirm them or replace them with your own before this page is published, because whatever appears here is what you will be held to.). Write to sunnysuthar@live.co.uk and we will send it.
Cancel 7 days or more before the check in date and we refund the room charge in full. Cancel between 3 and 7 days before check in and we refund half the room charge. Cancel less than 72 hours before check in, or do not arrive, and the room charge is not refunded. For long stays of 14 nights or more, the notice period is 14 days for a full refund and 7 days for a half refund, because a long booking takes a home off the market for much longer.
Charges for services you have already received, such as food and beverage or laundry, are not refundable.
Changing your dates
We would rather move a booking than lose it. Ask us at least 7 days before check in and we will move you once, free of any change fee, subject to availability. If the new dates cost more, you pay the difference. If they cost less, the difference stays as credit on your booking rather than coming back as cash.
Leaving early
If you leave before the end of a confirmed stay, the unused nights are not automatically refunded, because the home was held for you and not sold to anyone else. If we manage to re let those nights, we refund what we recover for them. Tell us as soon as you know, because the earlier we know the more likely that is.
If we cancel
If we cancel a confirmed stay we offer you a comparable alternative where we have one, or we refund everything you have paid for the unused part of the stay. That refund is the limit of what we owe.
Events outside anyone's control
If a stay cannot go ahead because of something neither of us controls, such as a natural event, a government restriction, or a civic emergency, we refund the unused nights in full. Neither side owes the other anything beyond that.
How to cancel
Email sunnysuthar@live.co.uk or message +91 96877 77713 with your booking reference and the dates. The time we receive your message is the time we use to work out which window applies, so send it as soon as you have decided rather than waiting.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the same method the payment came from. We start the refund within 3 working days of agreeing it, and the money usually reaches you in 7 to 10 working days, though your bank sets the final timing. GST is refunded in the same proportion as the room charge and we issue a credit note for it.
Sunny Circle on a cancelled booking
Points earned on a cancelled stay are removed. Points and free nights you spent on it come back to your account. A cancelled night does not count as a qualifying night.
If you disagree with a refund decision
Write to us first, because most of these turn out to be a misunderstanding about a date. If we cannot settle it, our Grievance Officer will look at it afresh and reply within 30 days. You keep every right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including the right to approach the consumer commission with jurisdiction where you live.
